Still whetting some options on the what-to-wear this Festive Weekend and yet not feel like everyone’s wearing the similar. Then, read on.

Of lately, I’ve come across a couple of articles suggesting one and all to strut out in the colour of the Xmas- the red. Well, I beg to differ.

How about ditching the quintessential ‘Uncle Santa Red’ for a colour that does reflect the Xmas fervour. Any guesses? Well, my picture’s got an answer to that already! Yes, it’s the bejewelled ‘green’. The colour has been trending big. The LGD (the Little Green Dress) is on Fall Hotlist.

Also,

‘…the colour to be seen in is green. Inspired by the’ pricey ‘sell-out sparkly emerald mini-dress number that featured in the BALMAIN Collaboration with H & M earlier this month, the shops are filling their rails with Little Green Dresses’ – The Daily Mail

My outfit interpretation of the much raved about LGD, this Xmas, was – ONLY top in vibrant green with a handful spray of sequins. I’ve had my fair share of bling last couple of years and now I am so done with them. Also, pulling off sequins can be quite tricky. You don’t want to come across as OTT. So, I coupled the top with a black pencil skirt for a more refined look. I accessorized the attire with metallic-nude peep-toes, metallic bumblebee earrings, a thumb ring and side-swept hair. Like my green-metallica version? Sound off in the comment box.

‘Tis one trend you can rock this season with aplomb and yet stand out. Soak in the trend and the merriment, for, the festivities is on the radar.

Off I go to fill the red stocking for my Darling Pudding-Pie.
Have a glistening and sparkly Xmas and New Year!
